Been a week

I've been slacking on my posts.. or maybe I've just been busy. Lets see since my last post on Monday what have I done. Tuesday was very uneventful all I did was go to work and then came home and did nothing? I can't remember it so far away.
Wednesday after work I went to Brentwood Mall to meet up with kuya. Had dinner there at the foodcourt, oh man there is a new korean place that opened up its soooo goooood and so filling. after eating we went to play Ball. I still suck thats all you need to know about that.
Thursday I went to hip-hop after work. It was a good class pretty challenging there was one move I could never get and of course she put it in the choreography... so I was screwed whenever we had to do that move.. but other then that it was good. After hip-hop I went to Fog-n-suds with Nick, Van, and Leo.. oh man Nick is so funny.. he took years to pick what he wanted to eat... and he kept asking if they had lemonade... he finally decided on an iced tea and some pasta.. After the meal he had finished his iced tea and the waitress asked him if he wanted another one. and he was like no can i just get a water.... right after the waitress left I told him that refills are free and he like jumped with excitement and called over the waitress right away to get another iced tea.
Friday was good. I left work around 5:10 so I could go to take Locking it was fun as always.. I'm getting better at it.. or at least I think I am. After locking I went to eat some dinner before heading to BreakOut. I got there around 8ish and there were a few people not too many. but as the night went on It got PACKED. It was a really good turnout. No plan B. performed Marie did 2 cover songs, Jill did 1 cover and 'Move On' and Jigs did Reacquainted and Tokidoki. There was also some other chick who sang.. Kristie McCrackin ... more like Kristie McBayBay!!! Good night.. it snowed while I was at BreakOut and it had melted by the time I left to go home.

Saturday I went to Old School class. SO FUN and it HURTS.. man people back in the day had so much energy and were CRAZY at cardio. but yeah Liz teaches old school now and instead of doing locking like Tal did shes going to be teaching New Jack Swing which is awesome I always wanted to learn how to do it. I got the choreography right on the last time we did it! WOOO!! After old school I had some Thai food for lunch then went home to get ready... I pretty much took a 2 hour nap before getting ready to go to Atlantis for Nick's bday. It was pretty fun at Atlantis.. did a lot of dancing.. I was popping most of the night since its hard to move around in a club. I might actually start taking some popping classes.. or at least one to see if i'd like it or not. It was a good night. heres a few pics..

oh oh best part of the night was... kuya stayed up and drove me home after since I had no other way home.. what an awesome brother hey?
Okay so its Sunday now.. I pretty much stayed home and did some laundry.. then played some hockey.. Man I need to sharpen those skates... maybe I'll get them sharpened this week for hockey...

Monday!!!

Normally Mondays are blah! and today wasn't any different hahaha... I had work as normal it was good I had a steady pace of work to do and I didn't even go on digg once. :o anyways enough about work... Lets go back to Yesterday SUNDAY.

I got up early stupid SUN (don't leave I love you) and since I was up early I decided to go to a drop-in. I took Eric's intro class, and I have to say I really liked it.. it was challenging not with the moves but with the intensity of the class. The energy was really positive in the class and everyone wanted to better them selves as the class went on. I like to think I did really good but there were parts that I was too fast.. especially the turn to the toes move!! I would spin to quickly or something always! Other then that it was a good class, I'll probably start going to his class more often. After class I went home and chilled out until late night when Kuya picked me up and we went to go play hockey. HOLY CRAP my skates suck.. I should really buy new ones since they aren't really mine I borrowed them when we first started playing and I have just kept using them but I think it's time for a new pair since I fell at least 6 times trying to stop or turn really quickly. I'm so proud of myself I went on a breakaway and DIDN'T lose the puck for once go me!! I didn't score cause i tried to deek out the goalie too many times that I got to close to him and had no space to shoot.. but at least i didn't lose the puck.

Harbour Dance Series Vol.4

Yesterday was a fun day. I went downtown to meet with Nick to head to the bboy competition that Harbour was hosting. The funny thing was Nick had wrote down instructions on how to get there based on the google map that the facebook event had. But it was totally wrong. The google map had shown the place being in kits but it was no where near there. So we spent a good hour in the kits area looking for this place. We even called Van, Leo, and Alex to help us out and look online on where it should be and they kept saying it was in the same place that we were!! but it wasn't even close. We finally found Jheric's phone number and called him to ask where it was.... it was like 12 blocks in the other direction! :D. Anyways when we finally found it, there were 2 cyphers going on. Pretty sweet shit I wish i could break like that.. DAMN why did i stop breaking when i was younger. After about 20 mins of cypher they called everyone into the back for the competition. It was pretty dope but It freaken HURT standing in one place for so long.. we didn't stay for the whole thing after the first round we peaced out because it hurt too much. We went back downtown and waited FOREVER for Nicks 2 friends to go eat. We walked around everywhere then we found a place around EA Blackbox that had some nice cement so we started to bboy. fun stuff. When his friends FINALLY came we went to MoMo for some sushi then went for some ice cream yummmm. Then somehow we ended up at Atlantis (clubbin and baybays!!) haha. We left pretty early though because Nick wanted to get home to sleep for Hip-Hop class today. Overall good day. Loved the BBOY competition.

Tired!!

I haven't posted since Wednesday.. and damn am I tired. Thursday was a pretty good day, after work I went to hip-hop like usual. The piece we did was really fun and I really got into it. It was great. After class I went to a Fashion show at a club called Crush with Van, and Mandeep. Had a really fun time, there were only a few baybays there but that was okay because I had alcohol and tore up the dance floor haha. I ended up crashing on Vans couch since I couldn't make it home cause of the damn skytrains closing by 1am.

So Friday was a really long day at work because I didn't have much sleep the night before, but it was still a good day. After work a lot of people from work went to the Mill to drink it up. I stopped by after work for a bit then I took off to go take Kim's Hip-hop class. It was good as always, I didn't feel tired or anything but people were telling me I looked really tired.. haha. Anyways after the class I went back to the mill for a few drinks. Everyone was pretty drunk when I got back. When the Mill closed (which is at 11pm...stupid!!) Wayne and Adam went for the normal climbing of the upside down church while we all watched. When the climbing was over we walked up toward Megabite to grab some pizza. Then everyone went home.

I Suck at Ball

So I played ball again today... I actually played 2 games.. but I didn't make a single shot and I had like 3 wide open ones too... airball or brick or In & Out =[ damn...

anyways in other news I got some info from work on (secret) stuff. Must change some things for a better future.

Lazy day at home..

Today was a pretty lazy day at home...
I cleaned out my closet of all my old clothes that I don't wear anymore... or that don't fit me anymore (does that mean I got fat? or my clothes are just really old) I have like 10 plastic bags full of my old clothes and I don't know what to do with them. I'll probably throw them out if I can't find a salvation army or something where you can drop off old clothes.
Then I hit up walmart really quick to by some socks since my dryer keeps putting holes in mine. It was raining outside.When I got back I finished the 3rd book of the Drangonlance Chronicles series. Spring Dawning. It basically finishes up the storyline of the Trilogy but it leaves things open for a next book. Which I guess the writers decided to do 10 years after this was published... good thing this book was made in the late 80's so I can read the 4th book now.

Sample Sale, 21, and Hip Hop

Today was a pretty fun day. Went downtown around 12 to meet up with Van and Alex. We went to a sample sale on Richards & Drake (which is still going on until tomorrow check it out if you can) I picked up a Globe Black & White Hat and an Artikol Black sweater.. pretty nice stuff. After the sale we went to Fritz.. I had a poutine.. ohh man soo good I haven't had one of those in a long time.

Then we went to harbour for Moe's Class. It was alright.. I wasn't really feeling it today for some reason. Hopefully next week its better. after class we hit up Earls on Top. Had some appetizers and a few rye and ginger's. After earls we went to Van's place for a bit and played some Rock Band. then we decided to go watch a movie.
Watched 21. It was a pretty good movie. Kate Bosworth was a baybay like always. Story wise it was pretty good too. They had a pretty good plan going on for counting the cards. eggs, guns, sweet, paycheck, magazine... yup you heard me.

Ouch

So... ouch.. my back has been hurting all day.. and I totally forgot to go buy a heat pack to try and help it ah well...

Woke up early cause of the sun.. ugh made some samosas for breakfast.. and then headed to work.
It was alright today I did stuff (hehe) after work I went to take hip-hop class. It was alright I wasn't really feeling the choreography.. or the warm up either.. but it was good exercise.
went to Futureshop after hip-hop with Van and Nick.. I bought Veronica Mars Season 3 on sale for $30 woo hoo... and thats it k bye

Good Day

Today was pretty good all around. I got up early today and headed to work early because I took to a 2 hour break to run quickly to Harbour and take Tal's last hip-hop class before he left for Vegas to work for Cirque De Soleil. Pretty good class... did a choreography to Ludacris - What's Your Fantasy. Good Stuff.

At work I got a few things done... and thats all I'll say about that =)

After work I went to meet up with Kuya.. and we went to Costco.. i stocked up on some chicken breasts and other foods.. after Costco we went to Superstore real quick because I have no rice and I had to buy some.. from there we went to play some basketball.. I actually played in a game today instead of just shooting around. Did alright 1/3 so I shot 33% from the floor woooooo go me!! After my one game i started hurting so I just chilled out the rest of the time.

Now I'm cooking some of the food I bought from Costco for my lunch tomorrow.

A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games

A little info about the company I work for.... lets see first off... my first published game I guess would be Sony's NBA '08 featuring The Life Vol. 3 =]

Its pretty cool going to a store like EB games and looking inside the instructions and seeing your name =D

anyways a game you should ALL check out because it is ACRONYM's first game developed from start to finish is Rocketmen: Axis of Evil which is on Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network for about $10. It's really fun if you like mindless shooters.. which I really like.

Here is a little run down on me.... (I'd put it on the side bar but it ends up looking ugly)

I am a software engineer for a game developer called A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games. I'm so happy to be in an industry I love, I learn new things everyday.

Other than work I can usually be found learning how to dance (hip-hop, locking, breaking, sometimes popping) at harbour dance centre in downtown Vancouver. Its my new passion, I'm usually there 3 days of the week sometimes more if I can.

I still consider myself a gamer though I haven't been playing games too much lately. I do own a xbox 360, nintendo DS, and PSP, also I have my PC. I'm getting back into it.. I play my 360 from time to time, and since I just upgraded my PC I'm trying to play more often (dota, and counter-strike).

Oh I guess I should tell you my name... My name is Adrian Mercado, I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba... moved to Vancouver to go to schoool. I'm 22 years old, Filipino, 5' 9''ish... and yeah...
